So, my understanding is that this other person with Jeane’s face is Thrive from all the way back from chapter 1. I’m wondering what went wrong for them helping (?) Jeane that they ended up stuck with her.
Oooh, I have kind of forgotten about page 56! Thank you. Then I’m thinking that Thrive and Angelus are the same entity or parts of the same entity or some such. Here are my observations:
– If the red text on page 56 is this “Angelus” character speaking, which it seems to be, their line “You want to go home, right? Nine Gates. That’s a good start.” was said by Thrive right before he thrust his sword in Jeane’s chest on page 20.
– Thrive had red eyes. Jeane’s natural eye colour is blue with normal black pupils. After Thrive thrust their sword and sent (?) Jeane to Nine Gates, her eyes have almost always been blue with red pupils.
– When this tattooed not-Jeane on the last two pages is “out” of Jeane, not-Jeane’s eyes are the same as Thrive’s were in chapter 2, while Jeane’s are her natural colour.
– The same thing with Jeane’s eye colour also seemed to be happening when not-Jeane talked Jeane through the conversation. On the two pages where not-Jeane talked in Jeane’s head, Jeane’s eyes didn’t have red pupils.
– Thrive had an hombre hair colour going from like white/platine blond to red at the tips. When Jeane woke up in Vasha’s ship after her meeting Thrive, her hair was suddenly longer, darker and hombre coloured going from brown-ish black to white/platine blond and has stayed the same ever since. Not-Jeane’s hair colour is this same white/platine blond.
Caught up againš
Introductions are going great

I believe their name is Angelus, as per page 56. They may or may not be the same person as Thrive.
