Now, in fairness, it’s not *confirmed* that the necklace is magical, rather than just shiny enough to catch the sun. Not quite.
It’s possible the dimensional kidnapping thing was a coincidence of timing, that he didn’t know the necklace was magical or that he thought it was harmless. But my, oh my does he look guilty and suspicious.
